Basic Information
Name: Uchiha Itachi
Name Meaning: Itachi means weasel. Uchiha is a mutation of the word "uchiwa", referring to a fan, which happens to be the clan symbol.
Age: 21 after Timeskip, 24 in Polychromatic timeline
Hair Colour: Black.
Eye Colour: Black, red when using Sharingan.
Rank: Akatsuki. Jounin at 9, ANBU captain at 13, defected from Konoha at 13 or 14.
Special Abilities: Sharingan - a doujutsu (eye technique) unique to the Uchiha family, the Sharingan has the ability to see through and copy any jutsu that the user sees. Also can see through and cast various forms of genjutsu. Mangekyo Sharingan - an "upgraded" form of Sharingan, the Mangekyou gives the user power over genjutsu to extreme levels, allowing for the use of several specific jutsus that can only be used with it's power.

Specific Jutsu
Amaterasu: One of the jutsu available only through use of the Mangekyo Sharingan. A katon(fire) jutsu, this allows the user to create black flames that are as hot as the sun and will burn for 7 days without stopping.
Tsukuyomi: Itachi's favourite jutsu(at least it seems like it). A genjutsu available through the Mangekyo Sharingan. Tsukuyomi allows Itachi to trap his victim in an illusory dimension and torture him for a period of 72 hours, though due to Itachi's control of time and space within Tsukuyomi, each second seems to last an eternity.

Arrival
It was dark. Dark and red, red as blood that licked along the walls and floors, coating everything with a slick sanguine finish and tinting the entire world with it's crimson hue. The red bled into the white and black of the negative-coloured world of Tsukuyomi, the colours blanched and reversed, washed out into the vermillion-varnished colours of the genjutsu world. Black and red and white...the same colours swirled around the lone figure who wandered through the world, melded and merged together into the curling shapes of red clouds edged in white floating in a field of black silk. Black sandals made no sound as they trod across the illusory ground, concentric circles radiating outward from them with each step, as though the wearer of those same sandals walked on water. Even the man who wore the cloak was a figure composed of black, white, and red. Black hair, longish bangs framing a pale face bleached white in this world, long ponytail held back by a black leather tie. Eyes like burning coals, the hue of fresh blood, black tomoe spinning lazily in them as he studied his prison. Ironic, in a way. Afterall, his little brother should never have been able to acheive Mangekyou, much less to actually trap HIM, Uchiha Itachi, within the confines of Tsukuyomi.

I was careless....that is all. Besides, he doesn't know how to control this world.

Indeed, Itachi's thoughts seemed to be concurrent with the situation at hand. While Sasuke had surprised him with his use of the Mangekyou Sharingan, the younger brother who burned with hatred for him seemed to lack the control of will necessary to utilize the powerful genjutsu. So now the elder Uchiha found himself in the very interesting predicament of being trapped within the red world, yet not suffering the horrific torment that the jutsu was meant to be used for. He smirked, fingers idly spinning and rotating the ring that graced one of the purple-painted digits as he studied the landscape that his brother had chosen.

How nostalgic, Sasuke. Did you wish to exact your revenge on me here, where it all began?

The Uchiha manor, as it had been over 10 years ago, loomed over him, eerily silent and washed-out in the strange colours of Tsukuyomi. There was no need for the tall Akatsuki to enter the room that lay beyond the half-opened door. He knew very well what lay there, had been the one to ruthlessly slaughter the entirety of the clan, the one to cut down his own family one at a time like cattle sent to the butcher. It had been hard work, he admitted to himself. He'd been only 15 or so at the time, and his skills, while formidable, had been those of a boy, rather then those of a man. He sighed to himself, quickly growing bored with the current state of things. Uchiha Itachi was possessing of neither the time nor the patience to sit idly within the red scene and wait for his younger brother to figure out how to properly work the technique. With a concentrated burst of chakra and a quick handseal, he activated the jutsu that would dispel the Tsukuyomi....

...and found himself rather perplexed. As the crimson and bleached world faded away into swirls of colour before finally vanishing, the familiar trees and forests that he had been standing in did not reappear. Rather, the Uchiha was greeted with a scene of tall buildings that sparkled and gleamed in the sun, clusters of people milling through the streets, and strange contraptions and mechanisms. Narrowing blood-red Sharingan, the weasel of the Uchiha studied his new surroundings with a detached interest. Certainly, this was not where he would have elected to be. But, he was here now. There would certainly be something here that could be of use to Akatsuki. Turning towards the busier part of the city, he walked off, the crimson and black cloak billowing with his every step.

Current Location: Building 4, Apartment 21. Here's his room. It came fully-furnished, b/c Itachi can't be bothered to buy furniture and decorate it himself.
